Digital technology has successfully allowed us to stay connected during these times with virtual viewings and market appraisals becoming very much the norm. Although nothing beats viewing a property in person, and this is now allowed again, we are still encouraging the use of virtual viewings.
Virtual viewings and video tours have been used for quite some time however the demand for these has certainly increased over the last few months. The quality of video footage and the amount of technology available to us over the last few years has increased and has allowed us to adapt and provide the best experience for prospective buyers.
We have a number of methods available for you to use including: guided walk through videos - where a video is used to guide a buyer around the property, and 3D virtual tours - where a professional 3D scanning camera is used to capture a property from every angle to create a more interactive video where prospective buyers can navigate round a property themselves.
These virtual methods bring many benefits and will remain very useful for buyers who live far away from the property, particularly for international buyers, or for those who would like to get an initial feel of a home before committing to an in-person visit. They also allow the added convenience of being able to obtain much of the information they need to make an informed decision from the comfort, and security, of their own home.
The interest and enthusiasm triggered by these virtual technologies during the crisis will certainly continue, and one that will positively change the way we work long after the pandemic has ended.
