I'd really like to provide some feedback on Nicole Neumann. She really has/is being fantastic to work with - is a real point of difference in this market/in your industry as an Estate Agent. Marc was a great help during my apartment search. After sharing my interest in a property in St John’s Wood he informed me that it was no longer available but he had something else in the same building. He quickly organised and then showed me the property. The property was great and we then went forward with the rent agreement, which was a smooth and easy process from start to finish. My partner was not able to visit the property at the time, yet Marc organised a visit after we had already signed the contract and paid the holding deposit. I have bought & sold 237 properties over the last 29 years, dealing with a staggering 71 different estate agencies (both inside & outside London). I initially instructed Winkworths to sell 3 of my flats in St Johns Wood & was assigned to Gemma Currie. Despite her limitless energy & cheerfulness, I was somewhat dubious, assuming her youthfulness would also mean limited experience. \nHowever, to my pleasant surprise, Gemma found me buyers very quickly. Unfortunately, the buyer on 1 of my flats turned out to be one of the most difficult, demanding, unreasonable, high maintenance buyers I've had, in many years. \nHowever, Gemma's patience, unflappable calmness & her Chess-like moves & strategy won the day. \nI'm still in a state of shock that anyone (especially in their 20's) can have such a remarkable capacity for solving complex problems, so quickly & effortlessly. \nI have already asked Winkworths if they can help me with the sale of 19 of my other flats in Clapham & Woolwich. \nSo, we should stop comparing estate agency fees (in isolation) & start looking at the brains & work ethic of those on the front line. \nSpecifically, does this agent have the wisdom to out-think & counter every problem we will have, during the Sales process. I was very fortunate to find Winkworth over 15 years ago to help me let out my two properties in London, when I moved away up north. They have been wonderful partners to work with, understanding my requirements, finding me great tenants and prompting me patiently to get my side of paperwork and things done (as I was juggling a full-time job with two babies (now teenagers!) close in age, their guidance and patience has always been appreciated). \nSince the tax changes, I’d been toying with the idea of selling and their sales department showed wonderful professionalism as they talked me through market conditions and realistic prices, and then patiently said ‘no problem’ when I decided I wasn’t ready (a few times!) Then with the interest rate hikes, I finally made the decision and they were quick to match my properties with buyers - in one case the property didn’t even need marketing. They immediately knew which of their clients would be interested and were correct, which shows how well they understand their clients requirements. They also helped drive forward the sale process, often alerting me to things before my solicitor contacted me about them. \nWhat really stood out for me though was that as my properties are small, they were actually very small fees for Winkworth , but you would never have guessed that with the kind of service I got from them - I always felt like a priority client in both lettings and sales; they were always on the ball (never a gap between tenants) offering impartial advice (whether or not a bit of paint was needed to freshen up the place) always proactive (chasing down both side solicitors to close out issues) - I never had to do any chasing myself - when an update from my solicitor wasn’t forthcoming, I just called Winkworth to find out what was going on. \nI can’t recommend Winkworth highly enough - they really stand out from the rest. I used to use multiple agents in the beginning, but over the years realised there was no point, Winkworth simply gave the best service and at the best price too. I have no doubt you’ll find the same!
